WineBro, is an alcohol and food pairing app. It aims to increase the enjoyment of an occasion. The name tells a story. It is about brothers coming together, with the strength of their individual experiences for this creation. It also pulls off the attitude wherein it will be treated as food and drinks wisdom from an elder brother.
Dushyant Bhatia
Co-Founder | WSET Level 2 in Spirits Certification
Dushyant, is a Pune based, accidental IT professional with over 30 years in the industry. If he was not in IT, writing code, he would be working as a chef or a restaurateur.
While being in IT he has not been able to keep his hands off; his passion for food & beverages. He started a fast food restaurant called Burgerland in 1997. Barring a couple there was no authentic Burger or hotdog places at that point in time in Pune. This restaurant taught him a lot about cooking and keeping customers happy.
One can find him in the kitchen more often than on his laptop. Dushyant is also known for his food writing. Check out his food blog here.
He swears by a Black Label on a Saturday evening. On the winer side, he is a big fan of the Grovers Zampa Shiraz-Grenache La Reserve.
He also runs a Pune Whisky Lovers Club starting in July 2022. The club connects people together on a good dram and provides plenty of experiences with food & beverages
He is a Whisky Ambassador and has a WSET 2 level in Spirits Certification.
Vijay Bhatia
Co-Founder | Hospitality Veteran of 25 Years
Vijay is a hospitality veteran of 25 years. He has worked with Skycity, Hilton, Oasis Beach and Jebel Ali group of hotels. He is giving back to the industry by turning into an educator / facilitator for aspiring candidates.
Vijay is a cricket afficiando and loves his spirits and wines. He trusts the Laphroaig 10 on a Saturday evening and in lighter moods prefers the Church Road TOM Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot. So he knows his peat and also tannins.
WineBro, is his concept which is finally taking shape.
Hans Raj Ahuja

Hans Raj Ahuja, a veteran in wine marketing.
He has spent over 30 years in marketing wines in India, starting with Indage Vintners in 1994. His strategies helped in creating an expanding wine consumer base, stablishing wine as a distinct alcoholic beverage within the larger basket of alcobev. His strategies included conducting wine tasting sessions with F & B Staff, consumers and retail shop owners as part of marketing strategy to create awareness of wines.
He also introduced wines from new regions of world like South Africa, Victoria of Australia and Le Marche of Italy.
He co-founded Apex Wine Club India to form an informal group of wine enthusiasts and students from hospitality and conducted many on ground and on-line tasting sessions.
He has recently authored a book Grape To Glass. Probably the first comprehensive book by an Indian author to share the knowledge about wine.
